Cube beamsplitters offer the flexibility of a large range of coating types and different trade-offs between cost and power handling capability, as well as the convenience of near-zero beam deviation and right-angle splitting. They cause fewer ghost images than plate beamsplitters. A durable all-dielectric partial reflection coating is used at the internal interface. All external four leg surfaces have anti-reflection coating for the specific wavelength. It is recommended to use them with collimated or near collimated input light for the best spectral performance and transmitted wavefront. The cemented cube beamsplitters can be used up to 1 J/cm2 at 1064nm. The NEW Spectral Optics' Molecular Fusion™bonding technology creates optically contacted units that are permanently bonded, with no cements or other substances to degrade coating performance. It allows to use them in very high energy/power laser application.
